Rory brings a stellar start to the 2025 PGA Tour season with a win at this year's PLAYERS. All odds are subject to change at any time, but the World No. 1 and No. 2 rated players in the world are top selections. Rory McIlroy Wins the 2025 Masters

When the 2025 Masters tournament came to a close, professional golf history was made for Rory McIlroy who joined Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan, and Gene Sarazen as the next golf legend to complete a career grand slam by winning all of golf's major tournaments.

Rory himself shared the self doubt which crept into his consciousness after starting in his 17th Masters without a win, "I started to wonder if it would ever be my time," the newest recipient of the green jacket shared with the press after his win.

This is appropriate, reasonable, and a good reminder that, despite achieving the apex of accomplishment within the sport, Rory is human after all. Doubt, even in the highest ranks, runs prominently into one's mindset without a positive feedback loop telling us otherwise. And even though we all 'Ooo' and 'Ahhh' over the impressive shot-shaping, resilience, and execution that a guy like Rory McIlroy is capable of, he needs validation to breed confidence just like the rest of us.

Justin Rose rooted his leaderboard presence early on in the tournament, and his fourth round -6 performance was incredible! A birdie on Justin's 72nd hole in tandem with Rory's bogey created a playoff scenario that had us all waiting with bated breath to see which veteran would emerge as the champion of the 89th Masters tournament. On to the 18th hole playoff we went...

Both players hit the fairway and fired absolute darts into the green with very makable putts to secure the win. After Justin Rose missed, the scene was strikingly familiar for Rory McIlroy's appearance at the US Open at Pinehurst No. 2 in June of 2024 when he missed a 3 foot putt to put himself in contention to win the tournament. This time though, Rory found his redemption, sunk the putt, and is now a Grand Slam winner to be remembered for the ages.

Weather Forecast for The Masters 2025

As of Tuesday April 8th, the weather for this year's tournament is looking ideal. Sunshine is mostly expected for the first two days of the tournament. There is only a slight chance of rain and showers on Thursday evening and Friday early morning. However, the forecasted rain is expected to be very light, so it should serve as a softener to the greens allowing the players to attack the pins before heading into the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are looking mostly sunny, and the expected conditions should make for a great ending to this year's Masters tournament. Stay tuned to Weather Underground for the latest updates on weather throughout the weekend.
